A Midwinter Nights Scam

It all begins with an idea to recreate a bottle that I’ve never had the opportunity to buy. This blend and finish was my very first attempt at this hobby.
I started with a fresh 2L barrel and filled it with cheap Taylor Tawny Port. I let the port soak into the barrel for 14 days before pouring it out. I then added a handle of Bulleit Rye and 525ml of Pikesville Rye into the barrel and let it age for 9 days. The resulting blend is 94 proof and holds it’s own versus the real thing!
